: both would work, IMO: cervix culture or cervical culture (also: endocervix/endocervical culture) -- a test for sexually transmitted infections

cervical culture
This is a bacteriology test in which the sample is plated on agar for bacterial growth. Not to be confused with a smear which is a histology test done on a microscope slide that is used to detect abnormal cells.

Cervical screening test
Women are routinely invited to have cervical screening tests (also called smear tests).
"A cervical screening test (previously known as a smear test) is a method of detecting abnormal cells on the cervix. The cervix is the entrance to the womb from the vagina. Detecting and removing abnormal cervical cells can prevent cervical cancer."

However, if you are going to call all of these tests "culture", then cervical culture is the way to go:

Dr. Jason Faulkner
: A cervical screening test (commonly Pap smear) is a histology test for cancer. This question is referring to a culture.
