U Kragujevcu se od 11.09-14.09.2008. održava 12. Kongres neurologa Srbije sa međunarodnim učešćem i Četvrti Kongres društva za neuronauke, kao i Prvi simpozijum neuroloških medicinskih sestara i tehničara. Stručnjaci i pripadnici VMA aktivno će učestvovati u radu sva tri skupa.

What is the Difference Between Neurology and Neuroscience?
- Neuroscientists are basic scientists who may or may not have a degree in medicine. Most of them, however, are doctorates in neuroscience. Neurologists on the other hand have an undergraduate degree with four years at medical school and a year of internship.
- Neuroscientists conduct research on patients and on laboratory animals including rats and mice. Neurologists, on the other hand, are practicing physicians who diagnose and treat neurological diseases in humans.

Mada su neuronauka (neuroscience) i neurologija (neurology) različite discipline, mislim da na nivou medicinskih sestara nema nekakve sub-specijalizacije za neuronauku i da bi i u tom slučaju odgovaralo „neurološka medicinska sestra“.

U međuvremenu sam pronašla i ovo:
- Alvisa Palese je vanredni profesor sestrinskih nauka na Univerzitetu u Udinama (Italija). Njen fokus istraživanja je sestrinska administracija, obrazovanje sestara neuronauke u sestrinstvu.
- Alvisa Palese is Associate Professor in Nursing Science at Udine university (Italy). Her research focus is nursing administration, nursing education and neuroscience nursing.
