German term

Vorwegumsätze

German to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Handbook for creating current account software
Der Saldo Vorwegumsätze sind die Umsätze, deren Buchungstag in der Zukunft liegt.
My understanding:
The transaction has been executed; but the entry related to the transaction is posted at a later date.

More context:
Während der Batchverarbeitung wird das Buchungs- und Valutadatum des Habenvorwegumsatzes ermittelt.

I am unable to strike the exact word match in English.

Thank you all!!

pending charges or pending transactions

In banking available account limits (e.g. credit card industry) are often reduced through pending transactions that have been authorized but not yet

Pending Charges:
The pending charges line of your Account Details page shows the charges that have been authorized but not yet posted to your account. Actual charges are the amounts of purchases that have posted to your account. To understand the difference between pending charges and actual charges, it's helpful to review the charge process. When you present a credit card to a merchant for payment, the first thing that happens is that the merchant requests authorization for the amount of the purchase. This occurs when your card is swiped. In most cases, the merchant knows the exact amount of the purchase and requests authorization in that amount. For example, if you go to the market and buy $82.75 worth of groceries, the market would ask for authorization to charge that amount to your card. Until the charge posts to your account, this amount would show in the pending charges line of your Account Details.

@Krihem:
Well, regarding credit card transactions it depends on the arrangements with the card issuing bank. But usually, when you use a credit card (cc) the specific amount is authorized and your available balance/limit is reduced by the authorized amount. E.g., you just bought a camera for US $1,000. This amount is authorized and then perhaps charged to your account/billed at the end of the month. In the meantime, this amount is pending. This is done, of course, to prevent you from overdrawing your account too much. This would be the classic credit card with monthly billing.

@krihem: You're most welcome!
Note from asker:
That was a great explanation. Thanks Mack!! Do you mean to say, it is something like unbilled transactions, wherein we authorize the purchase amount, but it is actually posted for billing only on a certain cut-off date?
Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : I'd go for transactions rather than charges, as presumably it could also include credit items.

expected sales

or anticipated sales/expected revenue

a number of Internet pages are available
Note from asker:
Sorry, the document has nothing to do with sales; but pertains to banking domain. I am quite confident that the term "transaction" fits well for Umsatz; am looking for a technical term for "Vorwegumsatz".

Note from asker:
This is again, equal to expected sales, which unfortunately does not suit the document I have. Mine is a banking document.

preauthorized transactions

I am not 100% sure if this will fit within your context, but it may mean preauthorized transactions. These are transactions that are authorized but are yet to be finalized and appear on an account statement. Common use i.e. with car rentals.
