Spanish term

Spanish grading system

Spanish to English Law/Patents Education / Pedagogy academic transcript
I'm translating an academic transcript for the UK and I'm having some problems with the Spanish grading system based on a 0-10 scale:

0.0- 4.9 : suspenso --> fail
5.0 -6.9: aprobado--> pass
7.0 -8.9: notable --> good/ very good
9.0 -10: sobresaliente --> excelent / Matricula de honor --> distinction with honous

NP: no presentado --> assessment no taken/ no standing

Is notable good or very good?? Some people even say "merit"
Is sobresaliente excelent or very good?

What about NP?

Thanks a lot

Thanks a lof for your answers and sorry for this multiple query but I thought that some context would be useful as we are talking about a specific grading system.

This is what I answered in a previous question

All of these terms ... are debatable. The problem with education systems is that despite being alike, "never the twain shall meet". The doubts that assail you are the same ones that have driven many a translator to distraction over the years. And, if I'm not mistaken, one of our colleagues or moderators will be along soon to chide you for posting this multiple query, as according to kudoz rules, each lexical item (eg. "Notable") should be posted individually...
