: It's not really features - that would be תכונות. Characteristics is a better rendering.
Response to your note:"characteristics" is much more widely used. A cursory Google search of "features of folktales" shows "characteristics" far more than "features"

There is no difference of any significance between the words in this context. In practice, the phrase that I suggested is used far more often online than is "characteristics of folktales" or "characteristics of folk literature."
