This is the last part of a course description for a course in morphophysiology (I think, the document is scanned and skips pages here and there) and I can not make head or tails of the word "hidros", I cannot find any indication that it can mean anything other than "hydro", "relating to water". The document is filled with spelling errors so it could be that, but still - any one have an idea?

Discussion
So does "hyrous sodium carbonate" contain information??? Is that your interpretation?? (BTW I guess it's actually "anhydrous sodium carbonate" which is used for such purposes. An anhydrous salt will absorb the moisture from the body, whereas a hydrous salt is already hydrated and would not absorb any moisture - it's one of those cases where the correct meaning of the word is important.)
Good luck.
