German term

alle Medien am Grundstück anliegen

Can anyone help me with the gist of the second sentence? I'm struggling to understand what exactly is meant by it.
TIA

Discussion

TonyTK Jun 25, 2015:
As far as ... ... the other part of the sentence goes, the "Baukostenzuschuss" is confusingly named; it's not so much a subsidy as a contribution paid by the owner of the plot to the transmission system operator for routing the network to the plot in the first place. On top of that comes the cost of connecting the house itself to the network. (Netzanschlusskostenbeitrag)

[all the] public utilities already run past the [building] plot

I don't suppose they already run to the exact spot where they would enter the building(s) themselves which are as yet not designed.

For the UK, public utilities > the mains

Thanks, Phil. Asker preferred to wait a further 16 minutes for confirmation.
neutral Teresa Reinhardt : they don't run past it; the lot is already connected, hence the cost savings // by laying underground lines to a distribution point/shaft/power pole - whatever.

How do you "connect a lot"? // And where do these underground lines pop up? In the middle of the plot underneath the future swimming pool? Whatever... // Congratulations. Your intervention had the desired outcome.

Medien
