I thought this was "singeing" at first, but now I'm not sure whether it is "buckling", I would appreciate any insight on this. This is a patent. Subject: producing a crossmember for a vehicle dashboard.
"Avantageusement,la traverse conforme à l'invention combine la légèreté d'une âme porteuse creuse àla rigidité structurelle d'une tubulure, de volume relativement étendu, grâce au renfort que lui procure l'entretoise de renfort qui stabilise les branches de l'âme, et qui améliore ainsi significativement la tenue de l'ensemble notamment à la flexion, à la torsion, à l'écrasement et au flambage".
