Spanish term

por sacar una pega

Spanish to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters questionnaire responses
Hello, there isn't much context here at all, though I think they may be referring to being paid.

Podría poner más, pero es por sacar una pega.

I'm not quite sure what is meant by the phrase.

Thanks in advance for any light shed.

Thank you to all for your help.
AllegroTrans Jun 14, 2015:
Fitting gas boilers is context
writeaway Jun 14, 2015:
That's always the problem with this sort of job One usually only has the responses and doesn't see the question.
Rachel Fell (asker) Jun 13, 2015:
I don't have the questions, just lots of responses. Responses from people who fit gas boilers in Spain.
AllegroTrans Jun 13, 2015:
Yes there is context Rachel a) what is the questionnaire about in general? school? cats? politics?
b) what is the question to which this is a reply?
Come on, we cannot see your document

that's the only downside / the only problem I can think of

"Una pega" is a problem or snag. "Sacar una pega" is to mention a problem or say something negative. So "por sacar una pega" means more or less "for the sake of saying something negative. The implication is something like what I've suggested.

Note from asker:
Thank you Charles, I was thinking along the lines of drawback/snag.
