I'm translating a diploma issued in Colombia where the name of the university is called
"Colegio Odontológico". How should I translate this?
I thought of "School of Dentistry", but I'm not sure this is the best option here.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions and ideas.

Again, in no way do I claim that "school" is wrong. However, in this case, based on my dealings with evaluation agencies, at least in the U.S., "college" is my preference.

1 PhD Candidate in Public Health, Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Magister in Epidemiology, Universidad Industrial de Santander. Specialist in Health Education and Communication, Universidad Industrial de Santander. Dentist, Universidad Santo Tomás. Professor, ***School of Dentistry****, Universidad Santo Tomás, Bucaramanga, Colombia. Email address: [email protected]
As I said in my references, I see nothing wrong with the use of "School". IMO, the use/meaning of "School" in countries other than Colombia is irrelevant.

I am not sure why the ambivalence to use "School" of Dentistry. IMO, this is fairly common usage and the use of "school" in this context does not mean an association, or a high school. In my country for instance, there is both a School of Dentistry and an Association consisting of accredited members of the dental profession.
