English term

Caloric Debt

English to Turkish Medical Medical: Health Care
Herkese selamlar ve saygılar,

'Caloric Debt' ifadesini Kalori Fazlası olarak ifade edebilir miyiz?

Ideally you don't want your caloric debt (the amount you burn being more than the amount you consume) to be too high.

Tam olarak tıbbi karşılığını vermek istiyorum.

Teşekkür ederim.

the amount you burn being more than the amount you consume = yaktığınız miktarın tükettiğinizden çok olması
Hulya A Apr 6, 2015:
Gönderdiğiniz ikinci link ve Emin Bey'in sorusundaki ifade zaten "caloric debt"in ne olduğunu açıklıyor. Önerdiğiniz "Kalori fazlası" ifadesi parantez içindeki ifadeyle çelişmekte. Ideally you don’t want your caloric debt (the amount you burn being more than the amount you consume) to be too high.

Şimdi sormak gerekir, Tanımı bu kadar kesin şekilde bilinen bir soru Neden soruldu?
Note from asker:
deficit = açık (eksiklik) burada caloric debt'in tam tersi bir anlamını ifade ediyor, caloric debt ile ifade edilmek istenen olgu kalori fazlası yani metabolizmanın aldığı kaloriden daha azını yakması-tüketmesi.

debt = deficit

As I’ve explained a million times before, the most important part of every single weight loss diet is creating a caloric deficit. This is when you consume fewer calories than your body burns (or burn more calories than you consume, it’s the same thing).

This means that you have a deficit in calories if you burn more than you consume. You lose calories, so you have a deficit.

You have a debt, i.e. you OWE your body more calories.

“This is not a quick weight-loss diet. It is a get-healthy diet. First, you have to repay all the nutritional debts you owe your body from a lifetime of poor nutrition and unhealthy lifestyles, and then you can lose weight slowly. You should expect to lose about a pound a month on this diet. You may lose more than that when you first start off, but don't expect it to continue. And on no account should you lose more than 2 pounds a week. It may take years to lose a lot of weight -- it took me 7 years to lose 85 pounds -- but, unlike fad diets, it stays off, because the weight loss results from learning to live a new, healthy lifestyle and not from depriving your body of the nutrition it needs.”
