Italian term

con-fusione

Anthony Mazzorana (X) Mar 19, 2015:
I don't think it's a mistake either. What if you kept it "con-fusion" and just dropped the e? I think he/she is referring to the fusion or melding of those boundaries. Could be a clever play on words in both languages really.

How do you know?
Tom in London Mar 19, 2015:
Not a mistake It isn't a mistake. It's meant to be a clever play of "con" ("with") and "fusion". Molto intellettuale, as a friend of mine used to say.
philgoddard Mar 19, 2015:
Is it possible that you're being confused by the hyphen, which appears to be a mistake? The one in "inter-dependenza" also seems surplus to requirements.

a sense of confusion, a running together of opposing themes

My impression is that the writer wants to emphasise the various meanings of "confusion", i.e.
1. the act of confusing or the state of being confused
2. disorder; jumble (dictionary.com)

So this could be one way to express this. You'll obviously need to reword slightly.

"... text to describe the nature of his narrative in which one finds a combination or confusion (in the literal sense of a running together) of diverse times and spaces ..."
