: Fund "raising" is for charity (raccolta "di fondi")// I agree you can raise hell too, but current accounts, bond issues are normally just called "funding", while fundraising (one word) is explained well here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundraising

I disagree dear colleague. The verb raise is not restricted only to charity.
