raccolta

Italian to English Law/Patents Finance (general)
CQS raccolta, this appears on a document as a heading re salary-backed loans and insurance. I understand this means collection, but perhaps in this case financing? or funding through salary-backed loans? Help appreciated, pls note this is a heading

Discussion

James (Jim) Davis Feb 9, 2015:
Hi AquaM need to see what is under the heading Need more context. Normally raccolta is funding which is deposits, how a bank acquires money (funds) which it then lends CQS "cessione di quinto contro stipendio" is lending so it is not "raccolta" but its opposite. Basically CQS is "impieghi" which is the opposite of "raccolta". Of course "raccolta" can have other meanings.

neutral James (Jim) Davis : Fund "raising" is for charity (raccolta "di fondi")// I agree you can raise hell too, but current accounts, bond issues are normally just called "funding", while fundraising (one word) is explained well here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundraising

I disagree dear colleague. The verb raise is not restricted only to charity.
