14. Safety Management Measures of Various Engineering
14.1 Earthwork
Safety main points in the earthwork engineering are as follows:
The deep foundation earthwork refers to groove with digging depth over 1.5m and the earthwork with depth over 5m (or equal to), as well as manually bored pile engineering which is easy to collapse.
2. Prevention and control measures
(1) The foundation hollowing method is not allowed to do in the earthwork process.
(2) Before foundation engineering, the targeted construction scheme shall be designed to set safe side slope or solid wall support as per the soil quality. If the foundation pit is 5m above deep, the dedicated supporting design shall be provided. The side slope of foundation pit and well and the solid wall support shall be inspected at any time, if the dangerous signs including crack, loose of the side slope or break and moving of the support are found, the measures shall be adopted immediately to eliminate hidden troubles. The excavated soil shall be placed as per regulations and not stacked around the fence or temporary building.
