Thanks for explaining. But "impeachment" usually means removal from office; so that would mean that the judge was no longer a judge, and could not hear ANY cases, only not this particular one.

Hi charlesp.i got it from my understading of the spanish definition of recusacion:En derecho, la recusación es el acto procesal que tiene por objeto impugnar legítimamente la actuación de un juez en un proceso, cuando una parte considera que no es apto.
