ovde je pitanju nadzor nad sprovođenjem nekog projekta, tako da "account" treba razumeti u smislu "being accountable" / podneti račun na šta su pare utrošene.
U pitanju jeste finansijsko računovodstvo, ali sam dokument (ili poglavlje u nekon opširnijem dokumentu) koji bi opravdao naziv "financial account" bi pre bio "finansijski izveštaj" podnet na kraju nekog obračunskog perioda.

Finansijski račun prikazuje finansijske transakcije (promjene finansijske imovine i obaveza) za sve finansijske instrumente. Sticanje finansijskih sredstava se prikazuju na lijevoj strani, a neto povećanje obaveza na desnoj strani računa.
