"Factor de exageración del pasajero"
[Passenger Embellishment Factor (PEF) o factor de exageración del pasajero (sensaciones ante las turbulencias, aterrizaje, despegue...)]
Hello mcarpena! I did find "factor de magnificación del pasajero", but I am not that comfortable with "magnificación", because it does not even exist for the RAE and it sounds very odd. Sounds like we are enlarging the passenger or something like that :) Anyhow, this is what I found (see web reference below).
If I had to use an equivalent, I would change "magnificación" to "exageración", or I would simply use "factor PEF" and I would explain in brackets, or add a footnote, or something similar. OR, I would simply rephrase the whole thing and use something like ....cuando los pasajeros exageran los sucesos ocurridos en la aeronave ... etc etc..
I belive that PEF exists in English for the commercial aviation world, but I don't believe we have an equivalent in Spanish. Anyway, let's wait for others' opinions.
Hope it helps :)

"Factor de magnificación del pasajero" was my try since there is something similar in photography. I don't know if there is an equivalent in Spanish that's why I posted my question. Thanks for your advice :) |
