Discussion

Frank Szmulowicz, Ph. D. Aug 10, 2014:
Dowolny numer. An arbitrary number. This sentence regards the "form" of the answer, of the notation. The value of "n" is to be inserted from measurement.
literary (asker) Aug 10, 2014:
co oznacza ta litera "n"?
Frank Szmulowicz, Ph. D. Aug 10, 2014:
Kuba explained the meaning. In scientific (or any) publications, the E notation (signifying base 10, that is used by computers, since they do not have superscripts in one-line notation) is forbidden. I recommend using nˑ10-10 cm/s as in the original.

Peer comment(s):

agree Frank Szmulowicz, Ph. D. : Yes, except that the E notation is only used by computers and is strongly discouraged/forbidden in scientific publications.

Thank you! I have used E notation only to emphasize that the second "10" serves as a power, not to suggest the asker to use it instead the original notation from source :-)
