I wouldn't suggest using "charming" for "sentiment."
"charming sentiment of/towards perfection," or "charming sentiment of generosity" might be Ok. But "charming sentiment of happiness" and "charming sentiment of health" seem self-contradicting. Perhaps, "fascinating" is better and pertinent.
To my understanding, "sentiment" is usually an self-orineted or introvertive feeling, but "charming" is usually an appeal to other people.
I don't think "sentiment" is totally proper here.
However, this is just my personal opinion.

At least the author added double quotation marks to 生命情调 and elaborated the meaning with the key values advocated by Confucius such as 至善、宽厚、优雅、快乐、健康。As such I could boldly suggest "Sentiment of life" for 生命情调 because readers will understand what it actually refers to by reading 至善、宽厚、优雅、快乐, whether they agree or not is another matter. Perhaps "sentiment" might match with what the author calls "the charming 君子”, a very Confucius value for a person with a noble character.

赞成Wang所言，“情调”通常是跟“生活”并用（生活情调）,很少跟“生命”连用。
“生命”是存在状况 (existence)，而“情调”则是属于occasional的状况。但是就“至善、宽厚、优雅、快乐”的概述，那是一种生活态度的基调 (keynote)。
较常看到的是“生活情操”，但“操”（操守）又过于教条化，可能作者似乎是想选择一种较软性化的表述，不想把它再返归传统儒家教条主义式的范畴。

可以说，"生命情调" 不是一个很规范的汉语表达。“情调”这样的词与“生命”搭配比较勉强。

用”情调“一词形容孔子的人生态度本来就是一种很个人化的做法，很难说恰如其实，形容眼下的一些小资还可以。

其实，这里的“情调”原本就不是个准确的用法，可能用“情趣”比较准确些。现今的不少人用词不够准确，意义模糊、含糊其辞很常见，只能根据语境判断词的含义。

如果根据原文 “至善、宽厚、优雅、快乐，而且健康” 为其所谓情调的话，我个人觉得是指个人“处世姿态”, 即处世态度、人格方面的修养 i.e. 至善、宽厚，和个人 “对待生命的感性反应” - 快乐、健康。
