This comes from a subcontracting agreement for a wastewater treatment plant;
" L’entrepreneur acquitte tous les frais de location, de surestaries ou de dépassement de délais de planche, toute redevances pour dépassement de délais tarifaires de déchargement et, d’une façon générale, toutes pénalités et tous frais tels qu’ils résultent des règlements, des tarifs homologués ou des contrats, mais il ne conserve définitivement la charge de ces frais et pénalités que dans la mesure où le retard résulte de son fait."
Apparently délais de planche' is the time allowed for loading or unloading materials, so the phrase in question must mean something like 'excessive time taken to load and unload materials' but I wonder if there is a better way of saying it in English?
