français term

OG

français vers anglais Autre Certificats / diplômes / licences / CV
This abbreviation appears at the end of a 1986 marriage certificate, immediately before the signatures of the spouses and witnesses, as follows:

"...les époux et les témoins ont signé avec Nous, Denis Joyeux, Adjoint au Maire du Seizième Arrondissement de Paris./.OG. "

Can anyone tell me what it stands for?

MTIA,

Janet

3 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks for pointing me to this question, it's quite possible that these are the initials of the person who drafted the entry in the register of marriages."

officier de gendarmerie

The reference says it means this. (I did a search for:
"OG" "officier".
Note from asker:
Thanks for your help, I found this too, but seemed less relevant than the other answer, given the context.
