English term
Straight Medicaid
English to Spanish
Medical
Medical: Health Care
Medical Insurance
This is for the translation of a document for low income patients of the hospital where I work. The document includes low cost and free resources in the community, including clinics, food pantries, etc.
My understanding of straight medicaid is that the patient has to pay a deductible before they get any coverage, but I haven't found a good translation.
Thanks in advance for your help!

el Medicaid en sí
It seems to me that they're using the term "Straight Medicaid" to mean "proper" or "regular" to contrast with some other variation of the program?

Medicaid regular
Efectivamente, es "Medicaid regular". Fijate en este link:http://www.informationforfamilies.org/Theres_No_Place_Like_H...
If you are homeless and have Straight Medicaid (also known as ***“regular” Medicaid***), your Medicaid will be changing soon.
Saludos!

Medicaid is a type of insurance in the US. The state provide medical coverage for low income persons for free, but Medicaid beneficiaries can choose to associate with HMOs which in theory will expand their coverage. Straight Medicare refers to just Medicare without other types of medical coverage.
