neutral Sone-Ngole Alvin Ngole : "connexions" stands for coupling, and (filetées, manchonnées, etc.) are characteristics/types of connexions (couplings). So we have connexion filetée, connexion manchonnée, etc.

I disagree - connexions stands for connections and the connections are either with thread or with coupling

'connexion' in this text is an object, and refers to couplings. That's why the text talks of "family of...". A better word would have been RACCORD in place of CONNEXION.
agree merlrennes : You are wrong about that John. There are many "manchon" terms that are related to tubes, e.g. manchon de raccord = connecting sleeve, manchon d'accouplement = coupling sleeve
