"pudiendo incluso *obligar u obligarse solidariamente* con el deudor o los deudores principales y con otro u otros confiadores"
"pudiendo incluso "obligar u obligarse solidariamente" si hubiere alguno o algunos otros deudores"

: What about "obligarse"? And I don't think "bind" really works - "enter into binding obligations on behalf of", maybe.

nope. it works. They are active and passive tenses, both of which translate the same. I hope I am explaining myself to you.....

The transitive verb seemingly takes no object and makes the 'rheme/theme' ambiguous: either is the donor of the power, as in the other answer, or the principal debtor(s) and other co-surety(ies).
