A friend of mine asked me to help translate this into Latin. He needs this for an epitaph. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Discussion

Newbie question perhaps, but why is the singular 'tuis' coupled with the plural 'vivite'?
Kirill Semenov (asker) Jul 17, 2013:
Hello Joseph, thank you! The second sentence, basically, means "Use your own wits", "In life, follow your own thoughts and opinions (not others')". I just want to be certain that `cum' works the same way in Latin.

Omnibus de omnibus gratias ago. Tuis cum mentibus vivite.

I place 'tuis' first in the second sentence to emphasise 'your (own)' and place the imperative last in imitation of the style of archaic Roman epitaphs. As an inscription it should, as you probably know, be written wholly in capitals, without punctuation, and with V for both consonantal and vocalic U.
