Blasting profile
Theoretical blasting profile of the tunnel is the profile that specifies limitations for blasting of the tunnel.
Between the limitation for theoretical blasting profile and normal profile there shall be set aside space for stability protection including water and frost protection. This distance is considered in each case, but is normally in the range of 250 to 500 mm.
Requirements for feasibility studies, driving, securing, substructure, drainage etc. are given in Railway Administration JD520 [S5], section 9 and are used as a basis.
The planned formation shall have a cross fall of at least 3% towards the main ditch. The formation shall be cleaned of loose material before preparation of the substructure.
