Hola, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien y que me puedan ayudar con esto. Estoy haciendo una traducción de un articulo de una revista del Ejército de Salvación (Ingles-Español), y me quede estancada con esta oración. Si bien puedo hacer una traducción de ella, seria muy literal y definitivamente no es la idea. Por eso les pido, alguna versión oficial de la oración, que se relacione con el lenguaje especifico de esta corriente religiosa.

Supongo que "Salvationist" debe de ser plural: "Salvationists".
Una posibilidad. "The grass roots" se refiere a menudo a "las bases", un nivel humilde, el de la gente de a pie.
"The rock face" es una metáfora que expresa la idea del lugar donde se está haciendo el trabajo duro. Creo que "el frente de trabajo" podría captarlo, aludiendo a la minería o la excavación.
"The sharp end" se refiere al lugar más peligroso, a menudo en el contexto del combate. Creo que "la línea de combate" podría servir, sobre todo en relación con la idea del Ejército de Salvación.
