Pernille Kienle May 2, 2013:
I think I like the 'drinking buddies' (or 'party friends') since your other questions seem to be related to the drinking/party scene. Good luck!
Neil Paterson May 2, 2013:
I'm assuming these are friends that you go out drinking with so I would go with "drinking buddies"
Pernille Kienle May 1, 2013:
Yeah, I think you could write that, but without the hyphen, 'monkey friends'. You could opt to write it in quotation marks or use inverted commas, "monkey friends" or 'monkey friends'
Leif Henriksen May 1, 2013:
Literally, yes. Probably meant to describe 'not so cultivated and intellectual friends' - unless we actually are in a zoo.

party friends

These people are always up for a party with you, and will party hard.
A party girl, pardon my language, is a girl who will party so hard, even if a party is shit, she will get down and get naked.

(BrE) Neanderthal drinking cronies

Neanderthal to denote the missing-link between ape and homo sapiens in Bayswater drinking holes.
Peer comment(s):

agree Charlesp : I don't think anyone in the US would have any idea what a Neanderthal drinking crony is.

Thx. I didn't realise crony was also AmE. The asker seems to be in the UK, so must be aware of the term.
