Looking at the glossary you provided, "Forrest Litter" is referring to the dead parts of the tree that are part of the normal life cycle of a tree. I believe the Ewa is looking for a translation for the debris that is created as a result of actually cutting the trees down by forestry management workers.

Ewa, since you have the actual complete source material, is it referring to the dead droppings from the normal life cycle of a tree or the droppings resulting from cutting down the trees?
