Can anyone think of a creative way of putting this? It refers to a tour of the city and is for a touirsm website
Discovery tour sounds too translated to my ears and mystery tour implies something more than a tour of the city. The idea is you can explore and discover more of the city.
Can anyone thing of a neat and succint way of conveying this.

I would not use the word 'tour' unless accompanied by a guide as in the first two answers proposed. It sounds to me like the tourism office is simply recommending activities for visitors who have made their own way to town/city xxx and for some reason or other (say they are in a camper van) want to see the sights on foot at their own pace.
