splash smelting

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Mining & Minerals / Gems Mining
For instance, **splash smelting** is selective to the feed minerals, not only the mineral components, but also the moisture and granularity, i.e. the feed must be pre-treated such as deep drying, grinding and being pelletizing; it undoubtedly extend the process.

Thank you so much for the advice, DLyons! I am charging a lot, mind you! That's not a problem with this gentleman, but what about my professional ethics? All he wants is a Spanish translation and the utmost secrecy. I'm afraid all I can give him is the latter, LOL!!!

Insist he give you process names like Outokumpu, KIVCET etc. Then it's possible to know what he means. And charge extra for the additional work!

I wonder if they mean "flash" (i.e. suspension) smelting? Something like KIVCET (a Russian acronym for “flash-cyclone-oxygen-electric smelting”) for example.
