English term

flame-worthy

Non-PRO English to Spanish Art/Literary General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
Hello!

Can anyone help me with this term?

You lose the right to hold people accountable for performance to the extent that you fail to create a flame-worthy environment.

Could it be: "entorno de desasosiego"?

Thank you!

To Esperanza The way you word it here sounds totally natural to me, i.e., it reads very clear and understandable. If it goes well in your context I'd leave it at that.
George Rabel Apr 10, 2013:
Hi Esperanza,
Since the expression is not widely used, and its meaning is rather vague, I would avoid specificity in the translation.
Esperanza Fernández-García (asker) Apr 10, 2013:
To George and JohnMcDove Thank you colleagues!
Making use of your kind information I am thinking to translate the sentence...
What do you think?

empeño entusiasta / de entusiasmo por la labor

You lose the right to hold people accountable for performance to the extent that you fail to create a flame-worthy environment.

7. intense ardor, zeal, or passion.
9. Computer Slang. an act or instance of angry criticism or disparagement, esp. on a computer network.

Here is link that may have a mixed usage of the above Random House definitions,
http://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/70369977.as...

At any rate, I hope this helps you and nobody shots me down in flames... but rather it helps to (literally) “add fuel to the flames”... in a positive way...
