Norwegian term

fordelbare kostnader

Norwegian to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
What kind of costs are these please?
They are from the following sentence: Alle reelle kostnader som ikke er fordelbare.

Discussion

Lene Johansen Mar 12, 2013:
There are many good options in the answers, but Fordelbare means possible to divide. As in å fordele kostander on various parties.

disagree Norskpro : Your reference says "Non-attributable costs are also known as common costs". This seems opposite to what you are saying.

indirect costs

"Indirect costs are costs used by multiple activities, and which cannot therefore be assigned to specific products, services, geographical regions, customers, or other cost objects. Instead, indirect costs are needed to operate the business as a whole."

For a more specific term "Distributed costs" may be more appropriate.

"Cost that cannot be attributed to a specific task and is, therefore, distributed across several tasks or functions. Also called distributable cost."
