English term

harsh light the embarrassingly antediluvian attitudes of self-entitled French

English to French Marketing Government / Politics
But if the DSK affair exposed in a new, harsh light the embarrassingly antediluvian attitudes of self-entitled French men, it also revealed fundamental faultlines between French women themselves

Discussion

Tony M Feb 26, 2013:
Parsing You seem to be confused by your parsing: "exposed in a ... harsh light" and "the embarrassingly antediluvian attitudes of self-entitled French men" are really two quite distinct ideas, and 'harsh light' doesn't really belong directly with what follows at all.
