"Testimonio" is a Notarized Document in this case and Butterworth's Legal Dictionary concurs. It is also true that it is a copy (a notarized copy) of the original that is filed in the Notary's Register.
Testimonio: Instrumento que debidamente también legalizadas las firmas, reproduce y da fe de un acto o instrumento público celebrado por oficial público administrativo, o funcionario judicial o notario público, y cuyo original obra en los correspondients expedientes, actuados o archivos administrativos, judiciales o notariales.

: As a Scrivener-Notary off the Aldwych once taught me, testimonio is neither testimony nor a certificate.
