In an Austrian patent tribunal decision:
Bei einer nicht erfolgten Berücksichtigung ausweislich der Beschreibung des österreichischen Patentes ###### der Prioritätsunterlagen kann es sein, dass das österreichische Patentamthier tatsächlich übersehen hat, dass die Form A nicht mehr neu ist.

an "Ausweis" is a passport or similar document that proves either an identity or similar fact. "ausweislich" is therefore the utilization of a document to demonstrate a fact - in this case, that the invention is not new.
