Italian term

tratto cervicale

Apply the product to your face, neck and shoulders and leave in place for a few minutes; then carry out drainage, decontracting relaxing massages on your ''spino-cervical'' and craniosacral ''tract'' .

(from the) back of the neck (to the base of the skull)

As these are instructions of where to massage, I think it should be a bit more precise...... with just neck, someone might be massaging the front of their neck if no explanation is given
Example sentence:

"back up the back of the neck to the base of the skull, keeping the hand in constant contact with the body."

neck (area)

They're just using fancy medical terms for effect, and the word "area" isn't really necessary.

Or perhaps to avoid repetition of "collo".
