Pavement (road surface):
is the durable surface material laid down on an area intended to sustain vehicular or foot traffic, such as a road or walkway. In the past gravel road surfaces, cobblestones and granite setts were extensively used, but these surfaces have mostly been replaced by asphalt or concrete. Such surfaces are frequently marked to guide traffic. Today, permeable paving methods are beginning to be used for low-impact roadways and walkways.

Curb:
a curb (US English), or kerb (UK English), is the edge where a raised pavement/sidewalk/footpath, road median, or road shoulder meets an unraised street or other roadway.

berm

Not 100% it's a full cognate Here is it's definition:

a. A narrow ledge or shelf, as along the top or bottom of a slope
b. Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, & West Virginia The shoulder of a road

I was initially confused by the question, because where I live we use "berm" and "shoulder" (бровка) for the same thing but this definition explained to me the problem :-)
