Another extract from technical specifications for office building. I'm just not sure quite how to translate "départ", am wondering if "branch" might be appropriate. Many thanks for any help!

: Personally, I'd prefer to use 'outgoing feed', but 'feeder' is certainly used as well.

: I wouldn't favour the use of 'cable' here, which emphasizes the physical embodiment of the idea of 'départ', whereas here, we are more interested in the abstract notion.
