English term
classed as non-prime
English to German
Bus/Financial
Real Estate
Kontext: europäischer Immobilienmarkt
In terms of the potential stock to come to the market, 11 German Open Ended Funds are due to liquidate their holdings over the next 3-5 years which represent in excess of EUR 25 bn of stock. Alongside this, the market could see further sales of impaired loan books and repossessed properties – either through further state-backed sales or ongoing deleveraging of the banking sector. With a large proportion of these assets ***classed as non-prime*** this is likely to have knock on effects to valuations of secondary property.

Comment: "Danke euch allen!

Unlike prime properties, non-prime properties are generally away from the city center and don’t have the same access to facilities.

vgl. "Calling a spade a spade is not always easy in real estate. One researcher's definition of prime property could well be understood as secondary property by another. Some basic terms which are at the heart of real estate investment have no commonly agreed meanings. [...]If defining prime property is tough, defining secondary property is a well nigh impossible. CBRE is making internal efforts to provide consistency in definitions of terms such as prime and secondary yields through consultations between its various offices around Europe. "
