Can anyone help me with a translation for "certificazione" in this sentence relating to sports betting. I'm not sure it's as simple as "certification".
"L'accettazione delle giocate può essere effettuata, orientativamente, fino a 30 secondi dal termine del tempi regolamentari. La certificazione della scommessa è effettuata sulla base dell'esito finale dell'avvenimento comprendendo, eventualmente, i tempi supplementari".

sorry, the word validation disappeared from my submission, which said VALIDATION/confirmation.... I would now say it is probably confirmation.....leading to validation
