scotopic dominator curve

problem of this term is the dominator -part. I have found skotopische Kurve in German (scotopic vision is night vision) but I cant seem to understand enough to make sense and fit the dominator in there and cant find any references that do so either. Can anyone help?.

Comment: "Vielen Dank! UNd sorry ob der langen Verzögerung (reisen mit LAptop und INternet von überall ist doch nicht immer einfach). Ich werde diese Frage wohl auch an den Kunden geben müssen, denn Verständnis allein hilft noch nicht (ich habe schon eine Idee was gemeint ist, nur die Übersetzung....)
