Hi,

Is this landlord, some kind of manager? would love to hear your insight,
"Si vous êtes locataire de votre appartement, la RC est généralement exigée par votre régie car elle prend en charge les dommages que vous pouvez causés à l’appartement loué."

The title of my doc is "Assurance RC ménage"

Thank you

Merci!
agree cc in nyc : maybe... the folks in charge (not a translation, just a description)

At a stretch "the folks in charge" could be good enough in last resort when interpreting, when you have a second or two to deliver something usable.

landlord

(Not because I've seen it before but because by a process of elimination nothing else works.)

disagree Daryo : "the folks in charge" yes, the Landlord's agents
5 hrs
disagree Tony M : The 'régie' is the intermediary between the landlord (= property owner) and the tenant

Ok. I never heard of this.
disagree B D Finch : This might "work", but it's wrong.

this must be French Canadian?

Anyway, Rental Board probably best translation but it is usually just called the Régie in both English and French in Quebec

The Board basically makes sure that landlords and tenants are observing the rules

thanks CC.
neutral Daryo : "Régie" in Canada are maybe some kind of landlord/tenant arbitration service, but in France they are plain and simple property managers.

No "maybe" about it in Canada. We still don't know where this is from yet!
agree Jean-Claude Gouin : I agree 100% for 'Rental Board'. I'm from Canada. Landlord and Property Manager are 100% wrong! In Québec, it's called 'la Régie du logement' ... // Across the Ottawa River, its called the Landlord and Tenant Tribunal.

Thanks 1045. Iknew right away for Québec as I lived in Montréal a long time. But this is la Suisse! So it's régie immob.
