Erdőrengetegre gondolok. Nem találok ilyen szót az angolban, csak a 'forest', 'woods' stb. szavakat, amelyeknek viszont nincs meg az a kissé rémisztő konnotációja.
"Egy vaddisznót pillantottam meg a sűrű rengetegben."
Olyan szót keresek, amit átvitt értelemben is lehet használni.
"Elveszett a hiedelmek ősi rengetegében."
Aki több mesét olvasott angolul, mint én, hiszem, tud segíteni. :) Köszönöm.

: Tudtam én, hogy van valami thick-kel kezdődő, csak nem ugrott be! Ez pompás. Tkp. vminek a sűrűje, de szerintem hangulatában közel áll a rengeteghez. És átvitt értelemben is használható, lásd: "But in the thickets of the law, oh, there I'm a forester." :)

Psychologically, you don't have the feeling of stepping into an impenetrable forest of words, but into a comfortable text.
There are problems with this exhibition...There is so much material that we feel as if we're in danger of becoming overwhelmed in an almost impenetrable forest.
