Gut tells me this should be "myRISTine", not "mysterine".
Often goes by its registered patent name Myristin, but it's actually cetyl myristoleate, which is commonly found in coconut oil products.

Good question, myrist(ole)ic acid is made up of a a 14 carbon chain, but the prefix c-16 indicate 16 carbons. So if it's a c-16 acid, it's not myristic. Rather it'd be palmitic acid, or as I hunched... cetyl myrisotleate, i.e., the trademarked "myristin" which is made of cetyl alc. (a c-16 chain) + myristoleic acid.
By comparison, you have octic ("caprylic") acid with the c-8 and decanoic ("capric") acid with the c-10.
So as I see it, your options are either cetyl M or palmitic acid.

things need to be 'logical' and this guides my search and thoughts
the first thing I did was finding out about the components of coconut oil and myristic acid was actually one of them

the problem was 'c-16' versus 'c-14', it took some time to solve this 'mystery' :-)
it means there are actually 2 errors in the text:
'c-16' --> should be 'c-14'
and 'mysterine' (unfortunately :-)) --> should be 'myristine'
It's chemical formula is C30H58O2, while 'mysterine' has, at least according to the text, 16 Cs not 30
cetyl myristoleate is a cetyl ester of myristoleic acid
'myristoleic acid' (C14H26O2) is biosynthesized from myristic acid by the enzyme delta-9 desaturase
the chemical formula of myristic acid is C14H28O2
I assume 'laurine' is identical to 'laurinezuur', 'caprine' to 'caprinezuur'
