"Soweit auch die deutsche Tochter ursprünglich mit auf Unterlassung vor dem Landgericht Hamburg in Anspruch genommen worden ist, hat dieses das Verfahren gegen die hiesige Antragsgegnerin abgetrennt und an das Landgericht Berlin verwiesen."

Is my following suggestion okay or have I missed the point - is 'referred' still the best option here for 'verwiesen'?

"Insofar as the injunction was originally also filed against the German subsidiary with Hamburg Regional Court, this latter has severed the proceedings against said respondent and ***referred the case*** to Berlin Regional Court."

hiesig The main company involved in the suit is based in the US and that particular case is being handled by the Berlin court. This is essentially the first mention of its German subsidiary. I assume 'hiesig' is referring to this German subsidiary, which is why I simply wrote 'said'. Perhaps I should change it to 'German' for clarity's sake.

To Phil Are you sure? Doesn't hiesig mean "the present respondent"? I can't see how that would actually work, not knowing the full details of the case, but that's how I read it.

Yes, it's referred, but I think your translation is a bit ambiguous. They've referred the case *against that respondent* to Berlin state court.

I think you are right, "referred to" is correct. Considering that referred translates to "verwiesen".
