In the electro steel industry, **ramming paste** and collar paste are used.
Electro-steel industry receives packed **ramming paste** in e.g. big bags together with the cathodes.
Each 3 to 15 years, regular maintenance of the Electro-steel melting bath takes place.
Cathodes are placed during this maintenance.
The cathodes are placed in series on the bottom of the bath which takes place in a large hall (several baths next to each other).
The cathodes form together a new bottom of the bath which should be equalized before starting the electrolysis process, and therefore **ramming paste** is applied.
