Portuguese term

co Vº e Prace

Portuguese to English Other Education / Pedagogy From a certificate
The document was sent as a Portuguese to English translation, but it turns out it's from Galicia. However, I'm not having many problems apart from the above. It seems to be a set phrase at the end of a sentence.

E para que conste onde proceda, asino a presente certificación co Vº e Prace do Sr Director...

My guess is - In witness whereof, I sign this certificate on behalf of??

Sim, partindo do princípio de que quem aprova também tem conhecimento do acto.
Ou então, "... sign upon notice given to the Director", mas aí a frase fica muito "colada" ao original.

Então, em inglês, "approved by" é aceitável? Obrigada pelos enlaces...

Atenção... "Prace" vem de "prazer" e a frase quer dizer, "com o conhecimento e os cumprimentos do Senhor Director"

Ainda percebo a língua galega... vivo um pouco longe, mas ando perto.

Visto e Prace Have just see the abbreviation set out in full. It means with the approval of. Will close the question now, I think.
