French term or phrase: tampon
I have a whole load of terms that come under intenet design, html, or software software. To give some context, I am going to put the whole secton here and then consecutively ask for the terms. I am translating the "charte graphique" of a holiday company for its internet pages. Here is the text:

Main visual avec quelques exemples de tampons
Blocs actu
Blocs thématiques
Page OS Last Minutes
Bandeau haut
Onglets liés au bandeau haut
Blocs actus
Page MS « Nos destinations »
Main Visual
Page MS « Idées séjours »
Page MS « Hébergement »
Page MS « Nos Marques »
Blocs marques
Bandeaux OS/OM

English translation:visual stamp
Explanation:
From this chart I presume tampon means literally the "visual stamp" of the company on each page. i.e. stamp as to characterize, brand, distinguish, classify, mark out, set apart, single out.

(rubber) stamp

Explanation:
Lots of websites use a sort of 'rubber stamp' effect superimposed on their basic graphics, for example, to say things like 'This week's spoecial!' 'One day only!', or as I just had on Cdiscount 'Ce produit est épuisé'.

In the absence of fuller context, I feel pretty sure it has to be something along these lines — and I did have the term in just this sort of context only a few weeks back.

neutral  B D Finch: My .pdf editor has a rubber stamp facility like that. However, I am not sure that such a standardised "tampon" is what is meant here.

-> Thanks, Barbara! I certainly wouldn't say I'm "sure", but I have only just recently come across this in a very similar context: GUI for a specialized application, where you could put stamps like 'draft' or 'copy' on your documents.

At least, they assert that they are. Sorry, but couldn't resist that.

buffer

Explanation:
It sounds like it's "buffer".
You can have buffer articles and buffer feeds, etc.

This really sounds like buffered content to me.
