German term

Kammrücken

German to English Other Cosmetics, Beauty
Ich suche nach einer englischen Entsprechung für "Kammrücken". Gemeint ist damit der Teil des (Haar-)Kamms, an dem die einzelnen Zinken befestigt sind.

Hat jmd. eine Idee?

Vielen Dank vorab!

head, comb head

I'm pretty certain this is referred to as the head or comb head, as per this example:

When you get the teeth of the comb where you want the comb to be, hold the tooth-tips right there and carefully rotate the head of the comb 180 degrees, in a half circle using the ends of the teeth as the circle's center.

spine

or spine of a comb

From answers.com:
What are comb parts?
the top part is called the spine and the spike like things are called teeth

From UrbanTouch.com, relating to hairspray:
Shake can well. Hold upright and at least 20 cm away from your hair. Spray liberally over your finished style. To control flyaways, spray onto the spine of a comb and smooth over your hair.
